Description of the Cave coopérative in Julienas
1) Established in 1960 the Cave coopérative has now :
- 240 members
- employs 7 staff
- a zone of production which covers 250 hectares, exclusively planted in Gamay and the crops is harvested by hand.
2) A prodcution of 13 000 hectolitres as follows :
- 7 360 of Julienas
- 3 700 of Beaujolais Villages
- 720 of Saint-Amour
- 600 of Beaujolais
- 350 of Chénas, Morgon and Chiroubles
3) The properties cover the communes of Juliénas, Pruzilly, Jullié, Emeringes and Saint Amour
4) The types of wine to be found are :
- in red wines : Beaujolais, Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais crus : Juliénas, Saint Amour, Chiroubles, Chénas, Morgon, Moulin à Vent, and Brouilly
- in white wines the beaujolais offers : Mâcon, Saint Véran and Crémant de Bourgogne
